Swarmit at Team ’25: How Atlassian Is Powering the Future of Work

The Swarmit team had the pleasure of attending Atlassian Team ’25 and we walked away seriously inspired. This year’s event was all about helping teams collaborate faster, smarter, and more intuitively than ever before, thanks to the power of AI, automation, and smarter service management.

Here are the key takeaways we’re most excited about and what they could mean for your team.

🤖 Say hello to Rovo: Your new smart teammate

Say Hello to Rovo: Your New Smart Teammate

Atlassian unveiled Rovo, a new AI-powered teammate designed to make work easier across the board. It’s not just a tool, it’s a shift in how teams interact with their information and processes.

More importantly, its available in all paid Jira, Confluence and JSM subscriptions!

  • Rovo Studio lets you build powerful automations using AI agents to streamline repetitive work.
  • Rovo Chat is a conversational interface that helps you retrieve information, create tasks, and get things done through simple prompts.
  • Rovo Deep Search goes beyond keywords, search across Confluence, Jira, and even third-party apps to surface exactly what you need.
  • Enterprise Search takes this organization-wide, connecting silos and making knowledge more accessible than ever.

🎥 Loom + Atlassian: Next-Level Collaboration

One of the standout highlights was how Loom is being integrated across the Atlassian ecosystem. It’s not just for video anymore, now it’s an AI-powered communication tool.

  • Record a meeting or workflow and Loom + Rovo will generate meeting notes and action items, automatically adding them to Confluence.
  • Found a bug while testing? Loom can auto-create Jira issues based on video transcripts while serving as test evidence.
  • Rovo can also enhance Jira tickets, generate subtasks, and even write or review code from requirements captured through Loom.

This combination brings a whole new meaning to “show, don’t tell.”

We also got a first hand look at Atlassian’s new Live Docs, a feature that allows real-time, multi-user editing with no publish button required. Updates are instant and collaborative, making document workflows more fluid than ever.

‍Atlassian’s HR Service Management (HRSM) Just Got Smarter

At Swarmit we support teams across various industries, therefore the updates to HRSM offering are a game changer for people teams:

  • Offering a library of 29 ready-to-use project templates to launch HR workflows faster.
  • Enhanced form restrictions to safely manage and control access to sensitive employee data.

New Customer Service Management (CSM) App

Atlassian also introduced a brand-new Customer Service Management (CSM) app, designed to provide modern support experiences with minimal setup. Serving as the customer support with access to Rovo agents this could seriously enhance the customer experience reducing SLA’s. We’re watching this space closely, it’s shaping up to be a valuable asset for customer-facing teams.

Data Centre clients are also receiving some new features/tools.

  • A Rovo Connector for Confluence Data Center was announced enabling teams that migrated to cloud while archiving old projects and spaces, the ability to access the archived data in their cloud searches through Rovo.
  • Portfolio Insights, a cloud administrator app was also announced which is designed to provide a comprehensive view of your Atlassian portfolio, allowing you to see the instances you own, detect additional instances through application links and license records, optimize the performance of your Jira Data Center instances and/or assess the cloud readiness.
